Merrell Center strives to provide exceptional service to all guests including those with special needs and disabilities. Merrell Center meets or exceeds the requirement of compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and state of Texas accessibility mandates.
Merrell Center provides a full range of accommodations to ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of our events and facilities including but not limited to: convenient drop off point, entrances/exits, restrooms, ticket windows, drinking fountains, concession counters and seating areas.
Merrell Center provides complimentary wheelchair escorts to guests with special needs when requested. Escorts are available at any entry point or guests may make advance escort arrangements by contacting the facility front office.
Please be aware that our staff will not remain with you during the event, nor will they allow you to remain in the wheelchair for the duration of the event.
For guests that require a wheel chair escort – please make reservations in advance by contacting the front office at 281-396-2562.
For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair at Guest Services. Our staff will make arrangements to return the wheelchair to you at the end of the event, or any other preferable time.
Accessible seating is available on all levels of the arena. Accessible seating is available through Extreme Tix and Merrell Center Box Office. When ordering accessible tickets, please indicate that you require accessible seating so we can properly seat you.
Service Animals/Guide Dogs
Service animals that are trained or are in training are allowed to enter the Merrell Center. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Merrell Center guests and/or employees may be asked to escort the animal off the premises. All service animals must remain on a leash or harness at all times.
Guests who need to escort a service animal to the animal relief area are allowed to re-enter the facility. All guests are to notify the Manager on Duty prior to exiting the facility to ensure re-entry. The animal relief area is located on the Northwest side of the facility.
The Merrell Center can provide sign language interpretation of events for guests who are hearing impaired. Requests for this service must be received 30 days prior to the event and must be approved by the performer/artist, if applicable.
